§ 1 · The formula

How the West Hollywood cap is calculated

75% of area CPI, max 3% (no banking)

The Annual General Adjustment is based on 75% of the Consumer Price Index for the area. The Rent Stabilization Commission announces it before July 1, landlords can serve notices from August 1, and it covers September 1 through August 31. The CA AG summary lists a 3% maximum. AGAs cannot be banked: an increase not taken during its year is lost.
